Bono wasn't one of the many stars who took the stage at Coachella this weekend, but the U2 frontman did step in front of the mic for an impromptu performance not far from the Indio, California concert event.
Rolling Stone says the Irish rocker made a surprise appearance Friday night at a ranch in La Quinta, California to join Belgian-Congolese artist Baloji. The collaboration took place during the Rolling Stone Rock Room launch party for Studio Africa.
The organization is a joint effort between Bono and his wife's fashion brand EDUN and the Italian design company Diesel that aims to bring African and Western musicians together.
